How to get there
Kidepo valley national park can be accessed by private or public means by road or air transport. By road, you can opt to jump on a bus or use a private 4×4 safari Vehicle. The self drive road trip takes you through Jinja, Mbale, Soroti, Moroto and Kotido town and finally to the park. From Kampala to Kidepo valley national park, it is about 14 to 16 hours drive including the stop over points depending on which you have used It is important to note that there are various routes that can take to the park
Alternatively, for travelers that have issues of sitting in one vehicle for long, you can choose to jump on a flight transfer directly from Entebbe International Airport or Kajjansi airstrip to the Park. There are many scheduled Aircrafts at Entebbe that operate domestic transfer safari flights to different parks of the country. Such as; Eagle Air, Aerolink Uganda among others. The flight from Entebbe takes about 2 hours and you will land in Kidepo Airstrip.
