Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Travelling from Kampala to Kibale Forest
After your early breakfast, join your driver guide for a 7 hours journey to Fort Portal Town. The journey takes you through Mityana, Mubende, Kyenjojo and along the way, you will enjoy exploring the green tea plantations before arriving in Fort Portal Town for lunch. After lunch, take a short drive in Fort Portal Town and later proceed to Kibale forest national park.
Upon arrival, check in at your booked lodge, relax later dine for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking experience.
Begin your day with an early morning briefing about the tracking exercise. An early morning track gives you a chance to sight the habituated chimpanzees in a short time. After locating the chimpanzees, you will spend an hour with them as you study and learn more about their lifestyle in the jungle. Along the track, you will get an opportunity to sight the numerous primates like white and black monkeys, L’Hoest monkeys, red tailed Mangabey among others. Later return to the lodge to lodge for lunch and relaxation.
Later in the later afternoon, head out for a guided nature walks that gives you a chance to sight various colorful birds, butterflies and study more about the indigenous plant tree species in the park. After a memorable experience, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Departure back to Kampala
Enjoy a leisure breakfast and delight in a late check out of the lodge. Later join your driver guide for a departure back to Kampala. Enjoy lunch enroute and proceed with journey. Upon arrival in the evening, your driver guide drops at your hotel of residence in Kampala or at the airport to catch up with scheduled flight to another safari destination or back home.
